Songster Officer Meeting- 1. Monday, October 27, 2025 Songster Officers: John Sloper, Carolyn Dorn and Candace Cook were present. Fundraiser: Mark Lucas and Rhythm Cats on Saturday, January 31,2026. The concert will be run from 7-9 p.m. in the auditorium with ticket price being $20.00. Tickets will go on sale after the Songster Christmas concert December 7th. Mark is designing a flyer to be used for advertising, and we can put this in the Sunland paper and on the bulletin boards. Ticket sales can also be made through Mark's website or by phone and at the door. Songster members will sell tickets also. Other advertising will be a large poster to fit in a sandwich board. Sandy Weins has offered to make tickets. John will contact Mark to finalize the flyer/poster with all the important items needed on it before we have them printed. Sound technician: Justin Hanson has been contacted to be the sound tech for the Christmas Concert December 5 & 7. He will be at the Friday rehearsal to set all the mics and adjust the sound. Songster Banner in need of repair or replacement. Candace will check out a few sign companies to see what a new banner would cost and also check on repairing the missing grommet. Songster Committees: Carolyn will make an announcement and send around a committee sign-up sheet during rehearsal. Everyone should try to be on a committee to help our group. Without volunteers our choir will fold. We also need a VP now to fill Dana's position, 2025, a VP for the next year, 2026, and a secretary for 2026-2028. Concert Ticket Sales: Candace will make a form for members to sign up and sell tickets at Ticket Sales in Rooms 3-4 on Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m.-noon. There will also be other days and times for the Craft Sale and the Expo. We must all go out and sell so we have an audience to sing to.
